Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced enhancements to its J-Partner Program to offer even greater mutual profitability and market share growth through enablement opportunities to its J-Partners worldwide.

To achieve tighter alignment with the ways in which enterprises and service providers want to acquire Juniper Networks solutions and services, the J-Partner Program introduced several new partner segments programs along with new product and service specialization opportunities, enablement tools and resources. The new J-Partner Managed Services Provider, J-Partner Consultants and J-Partner Service Provider Infrastructure Programs now join the award-winning core J-Partner program to acknowledge and identify Juniper partners who go-to-market with these business models.

“With these new program enhancements, Juniper continues to increase their business value to us by providing innovative solutions to critical network infrastructure challenges,” said John DeRocker, senior vice president, sales and vendor management for Nexus Information Systems “With Juniper we provide customers with the right mix of high-performance networking solutions and specialized services that solve their most complex networking problems.”

“Partner Profitability remains at the core of everything we do with our J partner program. The enhancements that we are announcing place even greater emphasis on recognizing and rewarding our channel partners for the full-spectrum of sales and service value they bring to the table, and align with the various business models they deploy to add that value,” said Frank Vitagliano, senior vice president, Worldwide Channels, Juniper Networks. “This approach is designed to grow our business with existing partners and attract new partners to deliver the right technology and service solutions to customers with proven business acumen and best practices.”

New J-Partner Program Enhancements, Resources and Tools

Juniper announced the expansion of its J-Partner product specialization opportunities to keep pace with the company’s expanding product portfolio. All of Juniper’s products are now accessed by J-Partners through one of three product specialization areas including Advanced Security, Network Infrastructure, which includes the company’s newest EX Series Ethernet Switches and Advanced Network Infrastructure with high-end routing platforms deployed into the largest high-performance networks worldwide.

The new J-Partner Services Specializations allows J-Partners to build margin-rich services practices that correspond to their Juniper product specializations. Designed to increase revenue, profits, and customer satisfaction, Juniper’s Services Specializations deliver the enablement tools needed to optimize practices to more efficiently and profitably deliver a wide range of services surrounding Juniper products and solutions. Reflective of Juniper’s core value proposition of offering partners the best services opportunity in the industry, the new J-Partner Service Specializations include Design, Implement and Operate.
A new J-Partner High-Performance Networking designation will acknowledge and reward partners with full Juniper product portfolio and services specialization. These High-Performance Networking partners will team with Juniper in the most strategic sales opportunities and receive a special class of enablement resources including access to higher level technical resources, joint business planning, and priority marketing support.

“As a J-Partner, we have access to the right people, technology, resources, specializations and support needed to compete effectively and win against other competitors,” says J-Partner Chris Becerra, co-founder and vice president, Terrapin Systems, a solution provider in San Jose, Calif. “That’s a tremendous value proposition that clearly sets Juniper apart.”

J-Partner Managed Service Provider Program

The new Juniper Networks Managed Service Provider program more tightly aligns Juniper’s channel model with evolving customer purchase preferences. As market demand for managed services accelerates, J-Partner Managed Service Providers are acknowledged for their expertise in delivering both network- and customer premise-based managed security and networking solutions that can speed deployment of mission-critical infrastructure and applications. This new J-Partner segment program enables partners to develop their own managed service offers on Juniper Networks products, bring those offers to market, and provide best-in-class ongoing support.

J-Partner Consultants Program

To acknowledge the critical role that Consultants play in helping enterprises and service providers navigate the technology and solution landscape, Juniper has announced the new J-Partner Consultants Program.

J-Partner authorized consultants will now gain timely access to key information assets on Juniper Networks enterprise and service provider solutions. Customized consultants events, webinars and information forums will commence in the second half of 2009.

J-Partner Service Provider Infrastructure Program

Juniper has also launched a new segment program designed for partners with established practices selling to and supporting service providers.

Formerly part of the core J-Partner Solution Provider program, the new J-Partner Service Provider Infrastructure Program acknowledges the unique enablement requirements of J-Partners who design and deploy high-performance networking solutions for service providers. The program enables these partners to gain access to the wealth of Juniper Networks’ service provider solutions materials, sales tools and marketing support.
